Pattaya Hotel Booking Advice: How to Find the Lowest Rates

Looking for the Cheapest Hotel Rooms in Pattaya?

Regarding vacation spots, Pattaya is at the top of my list. When planning a trip, I do extensive online research to pick the best hotel at the most reasonable price. A relaxing vacation begins with a comfortable place to stay where you can do the things you enjoy without interruptions. Here are ten simple strategies for locating cheap and luxurious hotel options.

1. Create a list of things you need to accomplish.

The first step is to figure out what kinds of activities you enjoy doing when on vacation. It’s possible that you’d want to spend most of your time away from the hotel to go sightseeing, engage in sporting activities on the beach in front of the hotel, go shopping, enjoy the entertainment and nightlife, or unwind on the beach or by the pool.

Pattaya can accommodate any of your vacation needs; you must develop a list to ensure you book accommodations near the sights and activities that top your itinerary. If you’re on a trip with the family, it’s important to consider everyone’s wants and needs.

Now that you’ve narrowed your interests, you may move on to the following section.

2. Decide on a Hotel in Pattaya

Pattaya’s four central districts—North Pattaya (Naklua Bay), Central Pattaya, South Pattaya, and Jomtien Beach—offer many hotel options. Hotels, resorts, and guest homes are all options, and they range in quality, amenities, and price. You can discover lodgings to suit your needs and budget, no matter how little or large they may be.

Hotels in North Pattaya. This is the perfect spot for me to kick back and soak up some rays beside the pool. Most hotels have private beaches, so if you’re interested in water sports, you should inquire about those. North Pattaya hotels are located away from the action yet within easy walking distance.

Hotels in Central Pattaya and the Northern Part of South Pattaya are virtually identical. Most of them go out to enjoy the nightlife and entertainment options. The hotel on Beach Road is the best option if you want to spend your days enjoying the beach and water sports. If you’re looking for a shopping advantage, head to South Pattaya. I wouldn’t recommend staying in Pattaya with kids if you want to go out at night unless you’re comfortable with your kids being near bar girls.

Location: Pratumnak Hill in South Pattaya; hotels here are distinct from those in other parts of South Pattaya; ideal for families and individuals who want to truly relax and spend most of their time at the hotel, such as honeymooners. There are a lot of fancy, overpriced hotels in this area. Nonetheless, many reasonably priced hotels are in the 3.5 to 4.5-star range.

The majority of Jomtien Beach Hotels are either low-cost or mid-range (3-star) establishments. Ideal for those on a tighter budget who want to take advantage of the beach and water sports. Another place I would suggest for a family vacation is here. There are a few bars at the head of Jomtien Beach, but the atmosphere is much calmer than in the more touristy areas of central and southern Pattaya. In addition, Jomtien Beach’s end is home to a wide variety of excellent seafood restaurants offering a wide variety of fish caught that day.

So, where in Pattaya do you recommend staying at a hotel?

Create a list of the “Must Have” features for a hotel.

The swimming pool, fitness center, laundry facilities, Internet access, spa, 24-hour restaurant, cable television, family suite, honeymoon suite, your language-speaking concierge, clean and friendly staff, etc.

You likely want all those services, but I ask that you keep your financial constraints in mind. To that end, keeping your “Must Have” and “Nice to Have” lists distinct is essential.

4. Determine a Financial Plan

I’ll tell you what to expect regarding hotel quality and cost. The pricing range for a normal or superior room is as follows: $20-$30 at guesthouses and low-end hotels (1-2 stars), $30-$60 at midrange (3-star) hotels, $60-$100 at upscale (4-star) hotels, and $90-$140 at luxury (5-star) hotels. Luxury hotels in Pattaya, like the Sheraton Pattaya Beach Resort, can cost upwards of $300 per night.

5. Do Some Research to Find the Best Hotel for You

Narrow your search using the parameters you compiled in steps 3-4. The Pattaya map is my go-to for hotel searches because it shows you where everything is about one another. Hotels’ proximity to the beach and other points of interest are easy to ascertain. The best part is the comments left by previous guests, who may fill you in on the hotel’s services, cleanliness, and convenience in ways that aren’t included on the hotel’s official page.

Taking the effort to narrow your hotel options (ideally between one and three) is an essential first step. Do not make any hotel reservations just yet.

6. Look for hotels with the BEST RATES

Before, I would spend a lot of time trying to get the best price on hotels in Pattaya and elsewhere in Thailand. I cannot recommend a specific option since the rates vary from hotel to hotel. Site A has the best deal on a stay at the Marriott Resort & Spa Pattaya, while Site B has the best value at the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya.

When comparing prices, be wary of sites that display a “total” that doesn’t include tax and service charges; such sites will lead you to believe that the “total” price is lower than it is.

7. Make Sure You Look at the Limited-Time Offer

Don’t miss out on a great deal; visit each site’s “Special Promotion” page.

8Should you reserve now or later? How early or late should one book a hotel room?

Pattaya’s festival and conference schedule means friendly hotels fill up quickly, so it’s best to book as soon as possible if you want to stay there.

9. What happens if you find a cheaper rate after you’ve booked and paid?

Those three sites have the best rates I’ve seen, and if you find a better one, some will guarantee they have it. Contact them and forward the booking rate from other sites for the dates, room types, and conditions. Then the rate will be changed to accommodate you. Please double-check their policy.

Ten. Take a copy of your confirmation or receipt to show at check-in.

This will help eliminate the possibility of a mix-up if the hotel receptionist loses your reservation. This has happened to me occasionally, but I’ve found that using paper to tackle the issue quickly always helps.

You can now book the hotel in Pattaya at the lowest possible price.
